Her writing skills may not match her oral ability. Ensure talk precedes a scaffolded writing activity. She may be over-keen to start writing without thinking through ideas - give time to formulate ideas and develop oracy skills. She may find it hard to work independently, so consider group writing activities. She finds it difficult to make the transition from oral work to written. Wherever possible, oral work should always be the pre-cursor for writing.
